Which Static Caravan Manufacturers Are Actually Worth Looking At?

If you’ve started looking for a static caravan, you’ve probably already seen the same names popping up again and again.

ABI, Swift, Willerby, Carnaby… and a few others.

I speak to people most days through StaticTrader who are trying to figure out which one’s “best”, and honestly — there isn’t one answer. It depends what you want out of it.

Some people just want something affordable to get started. Others want something that feels more like a proper second home.

So instead of overcomplicating it, here’s a straight breakdown of the main manufacturers we deal with and how they actually compare in the real world.

First thing — they’re not all built the same

This is where people get caught out.

You can look at two caravans online that seem similar, but when you actually step inside them, they feel completely different.

That usually comes down to the manufacturer — things like:

• how solid it feels
• how well it’s insulated
• how the space is used
• and just general finish

It’s not always obvious until you’ve seen a few.

The main brands you’ll come across

These are the ones we deal with all the time on StaticTrader.

ABI

Probably one of the most common ones you’ll see.

They’re easy to recommend because they just… work. Nothing too flashy, but modern enough, and generally good value.

A lot of first-time buyers end up with an ABI and are happy with it.

Swift

Swift is a step up in terms of finish.

They’ve got a more modern look, and they feel a bit more solid overall. If you’re planning to use your caravan quite a lot, they’re worth looking at.

Carnaby

Carnaby sits somewhere in the middle.

Not the cheapest, not the most expensive — just a decent all-round option. Good layouts, nothing over the top, but reliable.

Delta

Delta is more on the budget side.

They’re simpler, but that’s the point. If you just want something to get started without spending a fortune, they do the job.

Victory

Victory is a bit different.

They focus more on design, so their caravans tend to stand out a bit more. If you don’t want something that looks the same as everything else, they’re worth a look.

Pemberton

Now you’re getting into the higher end.

Pemberton caravans feel much closer to actual homes. Bigger, better finish, more “liveable” if that makes sense.

Willerby

You’ll see Willerby everywhere.

They cover pretty much everything — cheaper models, mid-range, and higher-end stuff as well. Safe option if you’re not sure where to start.

So what should you actually go for?

This is usually where people want a straight answer, but it really depends on what you need.

If you’re trying to keep costs down → Delta or ABI
If you want something a bit nicer → Swift or Victory
If you’re thinking long-term → Pemberton or higher-end Willerby

Most people figure it out pretty quickly once they’ve looked at a few in person.

Just start looking.

Don’t get too stuck on the brand at the beginning — look at layouts, prices, what feels right.
