Terms
The terms of a job.
These terms cover this website and a commission from SteBlood.uk. A project starts when you accept a written quote, not when you send the contact form. If a sentence in the quote conflicts with this page, the quote wins for that job.
This website
The prices on this site are typical starting points, not an offer that is accepted by filling in the form. Prices are not subject to VAT. The portfolio pieces are worked examples. They are not claimed clients.
You may read the site and send an enquiry. Do not attempt to break the form, copy the site in order to pass it off as your own, or use it to send unsolicited mail.
The quote
Before any build starts you receive a scope and a price in writing. The scope names the pages, the functions, the rounds of revision, and the timing. Work starts when you accept that quote and pay what it says is due at the start.
Half the quoted price is paid before the build starts. The balance is paid before launch. If the brief changes, the quote changes in writing before the extra work starts. If you stop the project, you pay for the work already done, and you keep what has been finished.
If a payment that the quote says is due has not arrived, the work pauses until it does. Prices are not subject to VAT.
What you provide
You provide the facts only you know, the words and pictures you want used, and decisions within a few days of being asked. You confirm that you have the right to use the name, logo, text, and pictures you send. Delay on those items moves the timing by the same amount.
What is built
We do not build WordPress, other CMS websites, Shopify, or WooCommerce. Everything we build is custom, to your specification. A commission can be a website, a custom Discord bot, or both. The quote names which. The quote is the specification. A change to that specification is priced in writing before the extra work starts.
The work is built with reasonable care and skill. You review it before launch, on a private address or in a Discord server built for your bot, and say, in the agreed rounds, what must change.
For a Discord bot, testing uses the studio’s own bot tokens and other secrets. You see the working bot in a Discord server built for that bot, and the handover shows you how to manage it. When the project is finished, the studio does not ask for your bot token or any other secret. A web panel, when the quote includes one, is part of that handover.
Who owns it
When the price in the quote has been paid, you own the pages, the content, and the code written for that project, including a Discord bot when that is the job. Until then, the work in progress stays with the studio. Hosting, a domain name, a place for a bot to run, a typeface, a payment provider, Discord’s own service, and any other tool under its own licence stay on that tool’s terms. Those costs are named in the quote when they are included.
Stopping
You can stop a project by email. You pay for the work already done, and you keep the part that has been finished and paid for.
If you are commissioning as a private individual, not as a business, you can cancel within 14 days of accepting the quote. If you ask for the build to start during those 14 days, and then cancel, you pay a fair share of the price for the work done up to cancellation. The quote will say this again before you accept it.
After launch
Launch includes a demonstration of how to edit the parts that change. Further edits, new pages, and updates after launch are quoted before the work starts. The same applies to a Discord bot: looking after it after launch is only included when that bot’s quote says so.
If something goes wrong
Tell hello@steblood.uk. We will correct work that was not done with reasonable care, or refund the part of the price that relates to that part. Nothing on this page removes a right you have by law, including the right of a consumer to a service carried out with reasonable care and skill.
The studio is not liable for lost profit, for sales the site does not make, or for a problem caused by content you supplied, by hosting or a domain you control, or by a third-party service such as a card processor. Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and liability for fraud, are not limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Last updated on 5 October 2026.
